What happens if the lord of the navamsa ascendant is the same as rasi chart? Moon in this case … is in the 11th in rasi and is in the 12th in D-9 with Venus

Sam – this Saturn, Rahu and Sun transit is happening in my 8th house. On the 14th of October I experienced a major betrayal from someone I thought was friend. She told me she’s not; she’s always hated me etc. The issue is that because I thought she was my friend, four years ago I invited her to live with my my family because she was going to be homeless. So the betrayal is extending to impacting my family relationships and she’s now shredding my reputation with my most closest family members because they’ve come to love her. I am witnessing all of this with some shock and i’m powerless – i can’t get through to my family without sounding like an idiotic child as far as they’re concerned. I can’t get heard about my need for integrity in relationship. I can detach from my family – but at my life I’ve done that to cope with their life long pattern of undermining/attacking me. There has to be another way. How is my 8th house influencing all of this – and what’s the best path towards (timetable?) moving towards honesty, integration, release, balance etc. How do I navigate this! Intense!

hi Sam – thanks for doing this. What is role of nakshatra lord and sub-lord? How much influence does the sub-lord have on a dasa of a planet that a person is going through? I know it is complex … when you include house lord

Thank you so much for answering all my previous questions. All of them were really helpful. I will be tuning in to listen to the classes.

Could you talk about nakshatras? How do nakshatra lords fare with house lords for a particular planet during its dasha?

Hi, to the person who had the foot fungus, I don’t know if this will work for you, but tea tree oil it’s a natural oil that made my problem go away forever, in fact I put it on my feet once every 3 months just to keep all fungus away. Also fungus is a sign that you could be having immune problems that’s what I was told by my doctor, make sure you see a doctor and tell them your diet, they might advice you to eat more healthy. Tea tree oil was the only thing that worked for me though but after years of antibiotics and all sorts of topical ointments that was the one thing that worked for me the pharmacist told me about it, I asked my doctor and she said it was fine, I put it on that night the next day all the rash was gone. Also avoid alcohol if you have any sort of fungus do not put rubbing alcohol on it, because that will just feed it and make it grow. The tea tree oil is something you apply, do not drink or eat it and consult with your doctor first. I hope this helped because that’s the only thing that worked for me but everyone is different so talk to your doctor before you try it. Take care.

Hi Sam can you talk about our assingment this week in level 2. Where Saturn the ruling planet for the Capricorns chart .. joining Mars the house ruler and Rahu. Is this a dhana yoga too. Ruler of 1st in 11th and ruler of 11 in 11 I would say so?. Also Rahu really distorts this yoga in a powerful way as we’ll, since Mars is in its own sign ? How much.. does this yoga contribute his success or not?
    Thanks,
    Wende

Hey Sam, Namaste! I have a question regarding how Saturn behaves inb principle since it is a natural malefic . If suppose Sat is the lord of two houses one gud and one bad.. like 7th / 8th or 11/12th. How does it behave esp when it is Exalted. Does SAT exaltation with retrograde leads to debilition in principle? Thank you!

I just had to ask this question 🙂 🙂 Is it possible to predict the kind of music one would be inclined to listen to based on one’s chart? My thinking is that, the planet that is related to the ears, and possibly venus which is related to the arts, based on the nakshatra position, should be able to predict what kind of music one would be listening to. So if the nakshatra is “deva” or “asuric”, accordingly musical preferences can also be seen. Is this reasoning right? I know this question is crazy, but I just had to ask it 🙂 Thanks again 🙂

I have asked a lot of questions for now 🙂 One last question. Since all planets are energies at one level, and are there ways to combine yoga such as to focus on certain asanas to bring those energies into fruition. How would one combine one’s own spiritual yogic practice with the astrological understanding of one’s potential? Should one be working on specific chakras and the yoga asanas for different chakras based on the planetary positions in one’s chart?

One thing I am confused is about how much depth should one look into with regard to houselords. Like, whether say 10th lord is in 8th house. And 8th lord is in 6th. 6th lord is in 10th etc. So how much “meta” house lords does one analyze? Do you stop at just one step for the original house? Why stop at just looking at the lord of the house where 10th lord is sitting in? Why not go further?

    Reply
    • Mohan R

Rather than use linear logic of where the house lord is sitting with respect to the planet in question, it is far more important to study the house lord’s relationship to the planet and aspect strengths between the two. Also their relative dignity in the house they are placed in is very important. In the example where the 6th lord conjoins the tenth lord in the 6th house is an indication for trouble with enemies at work. The extent to which this will manifest will depend on the relationship between the two planets.

I see. So you have to look at the relationships between the planets, and examine the planets for its dignity. Thanks for the clarification.

Is it possible to determine one’s guru from one’s astrological chart? How can one determine when one will meet one’s spiritual guru, and where the guru would be from? Since you are an amma devotee, I was wondering if your astrological chart indicated that before hand? 🙂

Another question I have is on divisional charts. How important is D9 compared to D1? It is also said that Prajapati is sitting at the ascendant, and lord Indra is sitting at the 10th (or 9th ) house I think. What does that really mean?

    Reply
    • Mohan R

The ninth house is the house of the Guru. It is only logical that Brihaspati the Guru of the Devas (Indra in this case) is seated in the ninth house. Prajapati is another name for Brahma or the creator. The creator creates you as an embodiment of flesh and blood and this is ruled by the first house or the Lagna. That is the reason the first house signifies your physical being and more importantly your head. D1 or the Rasi chart is the most important chart followed by D9 or the Navamsha chart. Navamsha signifies what you are capable of becoming in your life as opposed to D1 – what your born with.

This question just came up. Its about the perception that debilitated planets are bad. Say if benefics such as Jupiter or Venus is debilitated, does that mean that the female or male won’t find happiness from husband or wife at all ? How does one deal with this kind of karma? Most of the astrologers recommend remedies and mantra japa. What do you think about this situation?

    Reply
    • Mohan R

A debilitated planet always challenges you in the house it is in. Mars debilitated in the seventh house challenges married life and so on. Debilitated benefics loose their good effects whereas debilitated malefics compound their bad effects depending on the house that is affected. Jupiter is the natural significator of husband in woman’s chart and Venus for wife in a man’s chart.
You may want to study neechabanga (debilitation cancellation) situations where the debilitated planets are actually good for the person. Mantra japa when done correctly alleviates any ill effects of one’s bad karma.

Second question is related to planets in transit passing over the same degrees over your birth chart. In one of the previous videos you mentioned that when the planet passes over the exact degree, it becomes more amplified, just like the case of Miley Cyrus. Now since Sun and moon are the only planets that can undergo an eclipse,
what would be the impact if the sun or moon was passing over the exact degree that corresponds to your birth chart, and if an eclipse was happening to either of them on that particular day. Would the Sun/moon be more prominent or would it be dissipated because of the eclipse?

    Reply
  29. Johnnie Walker

I have two questions. I will post them separately.
First question is related to the general significance of an eclipse, and what one should be more mindful of during the times of eclipse. How is a solar eclipse different from a lunar eclipse? Does solar eclipse has more impact than a lunar eclipse since it affects the sun or our soul?

    Reply
    • Mohan R

All eclipses are generally not good. A total solar eclipse that is seen over major fault lines on the planet can cause earth quakes and volcanoes to erupt. An early morning rising Solar eclipse that progresses to totality is a bad foreboding for the nation’s rulers for example. Sun being a natural significator for a nation’s ruler.

A lunar eclipse is more subtle in its effects that can be seen in masses of people and how they react and behave.

But most effects of an eclipse are hard to predict. Hence the vedic seers have laid out some precautionary measures for men, women and children to ward off any ill effects of eclipses.

      Reply
      • Johnnie Walker

What kind of precautionary measures were recommended? Is that why people don’t go to temples during an eclipse?
